Bridge - Pro Zoom
Junction between compact and SLR, bridge housing offers different features. As compact, bridge benefits referred via an electronic screen at the back of the unit and a non-interchangeable lens. But its main strength lies in its zoom, powerful, up to 50x. Sometimes you find the term "superzoom" to characterize. With such performance, you're not limited in any particular distant landscape shots and close-ups, portrait or flowers for example.
The bridge attracted photographers looking for a more imposing case, resembling a small SLR with a large hand in making and being easier to use than a DSLR camera. If it is bulkier than the compact, bridge rarely exceeds 400 grams. Note that the bridge is also for all types of users.
